160 YEARS YOUNG: TAG HEUER STARTS A ROUND ANNIVERSARY WITH THE RE-ISSUE OF A HEUER CARRERA HIGHLIGHT
To mark this special anniversary, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer is introducing the Tag Heuer Replica Carrera 160 Years Silver Limited Edition – with a design from the 1960s driven by a 21st century watchmaking innovation.
To kick off a year of honors and celebrations, TAG Heuer is presenting a TAG Heuer Carrera 160 Years Silver Limited Edition, of which only 1860 pieces will be produced. It will be available to customers worldwide from June 2020.

In 1962, then CEO Jack Heuer heard the story of the legendary Carrera Panamericana, one of the most treacherous road races in the world. The word “carrera,” which means road, race, career and track in Spanish, caught his attention: he knew immediately that this would be the perfect name for a new watch.
The famous monochrome silver-dial model from 1964, with its three snailed counters and silver-coloured radiate dial, is a prime choice to celebrate the brand’s 160th anniversary. This model, often referred to as the «2447S», is now being reintroduced with some 21st century updates.
The redesigned oscillating weight, visible through the screw-down sapphire crystal, is decorated with a lacquered engraving that identifies the watch as an anniversary edition. The model is presented in a special packaging.

The TAG Heuer Carrera line has always been equipped with the most advanced technology the brand has developed. Perhaps the most significant difference between the 2447S and the modern limited edition model is the movement inside the timepiece: the tribute model is powered by the in-house Heuer 02 movement.
