After focusing on the Radiomir last year, Panerai Replica announces its new products in the nautical sector. As you may already know, the Italian firm has been the official sponsor of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team boat since 2019. This vessel will take the start of the 37th edition of the America’s Cup at the end of August. It is therefore quite natural that the new products presented at the Watches & Wonders show will all bear the famous Luna Rossa designation.

Panerai Submersible QuarantaQuattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech

Straight out of the “Laboratorio di Idee” of the Panerai manufacture, the new material called Ti-Ceramitech makes its appearance. Despite its ambiguous name, which is a mixture of titanium and ceramic, its creation is much more complex. Ti-Ceramitech is obtained by an electrolytic plasma oxidation process which transforms the surface of the titanium into a layer of ceramic giving it a very particular color, between blue and matte gray. The bezel is unidirectional and made from the same material as the case, which measures 44mm. Two dials are available for this Submersible: the PAM01466 with a sunburst blue dial and the PAM01543 with a white dial. Regarding the movement, we remain in line with the previous model with the P900 caliber delivering 3 days of power reserve. The bracelet is also available in a dark Luna Rossa blue tone.

A new limited edition, reference PAM01565, is now available as an e-commerce exclusive, with only 300 copies available. If it reminds you of the PAM01391, that’s normal because it shares certain aesthetic codes. Its case is made of satin-finished 316L stainless steel and measures 42mm wide. Its bezel is made of steel with a matte black ceramic insert, all finished with a solid screw-down back. On the dial side, a superb sunray satin blue adorns the back with a small seconds located at 9 o’clock, a date at 3 o’clock and of course hands and indexes treated with Super-LumiNova. The P900 automatic movement powers this watch and gives it a 3-day power reserve. Everything is supplied with two straps, one Luna Rossa gray and the other in dark blue rubber.

Panerai Submersible GMT Luna Rossa Titanio

Now let’s see this PAM01507, which is other than the GMT watch in the collection. Its grade 5 titanium case measures 42mm and is strikingly light. The bezel is also made of titanium, highlighted by a blue ceramic insert. It is at the dial level that the piece becomes more complex. In a sunburst blue color, it takes up the aesthetic codes of the previous pieces, namely a small seconds at 9 o’clock, a date window at 3 o’clock and applied indexes treated with Super-LumiNova. It is on the flange graduated from 1 to 24 hours that we see its main complication appear: the GMT. This, via a third hand in the shape of a sail, recalls the environment in which this watch is supposed to be used. In terms of caliber, it is the P900/GMT24H which equips this piece and has a power reserve equal to its counterparts mentioned above, i.e. 3 days. For this Panerai, a blue Luna Rossa strap is available, accompanied by a second blue rubber strap as well.

Panerai Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience Edition

The big surprise on the Panerai stand was the arrival of the Submersible Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Edition. Offered in a limited edition of only 20 pieces, it offers its future owner the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the America’s Cup and meet the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team. This PAM01405 has a 45mm Carbotech case as well as a graduated rotating bezel in titanium with a black DLC coating, offering a water resistance of 300 meters. On the movement side, the beauty is equipped with a manually wound mechanical caliber, the P.2015/T, offering a 4-day power reserve as well as day/night indicators, power reserve and a GMT function. The skeletonized dial is admirable and the white color of the indexes contrasts with the orange reminders of the small seconds hands, the GMT and the day/night indicator. Everything is offered on a recognizable gray Luna Rossa bracelet with its red border or on a classic black rubber strap.
