Breitling Replica recent collaboration with Deus Ex Machina and Triumph Motorcycles is taken to a new level by incorporating the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01.

Breitling has chosen the “Wheels & Waves” surfing and motorcycle festival in Biarritz, France, as the setting for the launch of the two latest editions of its Top Time collection. First launched in the 1960s, the brand’s “unconventional chronograph” began with its daring design as a tribute to the untamed spirit of its time. The motorsport chronograph – which is all about motorcycles, vintage cars and adventures on the open road – has retained its strong identity to this day.

The two new timepieces build on the success of Breitling’s past collaborations with Deus Ex Machina and Triumph Motorcycles and take things up a notch with the integration of the unique Breitling manufacture Caliber 01 into these models. “These jointly designed Top Time watches were designed for all those who are passionate about mechanics – whether in their watches or their motorcycles,” says Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling. “The Breitling Caliber 01 is a finely tuned machine, manufactured with the same precision and attention to detail that goes into building the perfect motorcycle.

NOW IN ELEGANT BLACK: THE BREITLING TOP TIME DEUS

The new model, unlike its colorful predecessors, is monochrome: with a black dial that contrasts with the white three-register subdials and the white tachymeter scale. The watch is available with a black racing-style calfskin strap or a braided metal bracelet. A touch of color is given by the red accents on the outer dial and, more strikingly, the central chrono hand, which, like the previous two Top Time Deus editions, has the shape of a lightning bolt.

This watch also uses the exceptional Breitling manufacture caliber 01, with the red Deus logo in the middle of the open sapphire crystal case back.

FIRE AND ICE: THE BREITLING TOP TIME TRIUMPH

Breitling first teamed up with British heritage motorcycle manufacturer Triumph in 2022. The two brands kicked off their collaboration with the launch of a Breitling Speed ​​Twin limited edition motorcycle and a Top Time Triumph watch duo – one of which was issued in the form of 270 numbered pieces for motorcycle owners, the other available to fans.

Both models feature a unique ice blue dial, the striking color of which is precisely matched to a 1951 Triumph Thunderbird 6T and a rare blue-dial Breitling Top Time Ref. 815 from the 1970s.

Collectors will not fail to notice that the inspiration comes from the retro logo, mushroom-shaped chronograph pusher and “Zorro”-designed dial of Breitling’s vintage watches. The bow motif, introduced on the Top Time in the 1960s (and nicknamed after the famous avenger’s mask), has been subtly integrated through a brushed finish and is only visible in certain lighting conditions.
