Hublot Replica we look back at a significant release unveiled late last year, just before the Watches & Wonders announcements flooded in. Hublot once again proves its amazing mastery of materials with a limited edition of just 100 pieces to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates. Focus on the Classic Fusion Chronograph Concrete Sand.
On the menu: concrete, sand and camel leather
Hublot has managed to pay a brilliant tribute to the United Arab Emirates by taking inspiration from Dubai in a cleverly thought-out creation. The case, measuring 45 mm in diameter and 13.85 mm thick, is made of concrete mixed with epoxy resin (to prevent erosion). This is accompanied by a magnificent orange sand dial under an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. A perfect nod to Dubai, the country’s first city, whose concrete towers rise in the middle of the desert. A camel leather frame completes the look and harmonizes in color with the dial.

An automatic chronograph movement
This very special edition is powered by an automatic movement, caliber HUB1143. More precisely, it is a revised ETA 2892-A2 base, which oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of 42 hours, complemented by a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module. The latter displays a central chronograph second as well as a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, the other counter being an offset seconds hand. There is also a discreet date window with a black background at 6 o’clock. The engraved sapphire crystal case back allows you to observe the details of the movement.

Unfortunately, it is not easy to acquire this piece. Not only is it limited to just 100 pieces, but it is also offered exclusively by Seddiqi, a famous retailer in Dubai. Hublot once again reaffirms its exceptional mastery of materials while paying homage to the city of Dubai.
